Fly The Flag 2020: Water Bodies by Belinda Zhawi

“Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and of his family… All children, whether born in or out of wedlock, shall enjoy the same social protection.”

Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 25

This year the Fly the Flag initiative celebrates Article 25 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights – the basic right we all have to food, shelter, healthcare, social services and security. Brixton House commissioned poet Belinda Zhawi and filmmaker Jolade Olusanya to film this powerful response to the declaration, and the times we live in. Water Bodies is produced by our Creative Civic Producer Tobi Kyeremateng.
