Creative Hub

Carlton Mansions, the Victorian building next to Brixton House, has been restored and refurbished by Lambeth Council to house 26 workspace units offered at affordable rents to the arts and creative industries.

There is direct access between the theatre and Carlton Mansions so that our Houseguests can benefit from the spaces and resources of Brixton House too.

Two floors of Brixton House will house offices rented out by us on behalf of Lambeth to creative industries and the arts, establishing Brixton House as a vital new creative hub for London.

Nuclear Dawn, the historic mural on the side of the building, was fully restored in 2021 by local artists mORGANICo, Linda Jane James, Paul Butler with Campbell Smith and Co, under the supervision of original artist Brian Barnes. Watch Nuclear Dawn Rising from Clapham Film Unit to find out more about its restoration.
