Kindrd Jam

25 September-4 December

An unforgettable live experience where discovery, collaboration and musical excellence take centre stage.

Kindrd & Brixton House present

Description

Kindrd Jam captures the spirit of live music at its most authentic, bringing together exceptional artists, spontaneous collaboration and an electric atmosphere that transforms every performance into a shared experience.

Born from the legendary Kindred Spirit, founded by Michelle Escoffery, and co-produced by Victor Redwood-Sawyerr, Kindrd Jam carries that legacy forward, creating unforgettable live experiences where discovery, collaboration and musical excellence take centre stage. Each edition is curated by a featured artist, inviting audiences into their musical world as they share the stage with collaborators, influences and emerging voices that inspire them.

And then the stage opens up. Following the curated live sets, Kindrd Jam becomes just that: a jam. Artists, singers and musicians in the room are invited to step up, join the band and create in the moment. Expect unexpected voices, spontaneous collaborations and musical moments that could only happen once. It’s where emerging talent can find themselves sharing a stage with established musicians, where the audience becomes part of the energy in the room, and where nobody, including us, knows quite what might happen next. Come for the set. Stay for what wasn’t planned.

Hosted by Michelle Escoffery, ESKA joins Kindrd Jam as our curating artist. ESKA is a Zimbabwean-born, London-raised singer, songwriter, composer and multi-instrumentalist whose extraordinary voice and genre-defying musicianship have made her one of the UK’s most distinctive artists.

A long-time collaborator with artists including Grace Jones, Bobby McFerrin, Nitin Sawhney, Matthew Herbert and The Cinematic Orchestra, ESKA stepped fully into her own artistic world with her self-titled debut album ESKA, which was nominated for the 2015 Mercury Prize. Her music moves fearlessly through soul, folk, jazz, psychedelia, electronica and beyond, matched by a live presence renowned for its imagination and vocal virtuosity. In 2025, she released her second album, The Ordinary Life of a Magic Woman, continuing a singular creative journey rooted in storytelling, experimentation and musical freedom.

And the night doesn’t end when the live show does. Each Kindrd Jam rolls into an aftershow party, giving artists, musicians and audiences a chance to hang out, connect and keep the night going. Because at Kindrd, what happens around the music has always mattered just as much as what happens on stage.
