Description
‘A riveting perspective on fallen hair, femininity and beauty ideals’ – Reading Feedback at the Bush Theatre
What did you just call me?
Meet Amy. Everyone wants to be like Amy. Well, they used to.
She won the award for ‘best hair’ at school three years in a row. Everyone swooned over her long hair. Before… Before her hair started falling out in all the wrong places.
Now Amy’s taking back her body and taking on the beauty industry… one eyebrow at a time.
Longlisted for The Victoria Wood Prize for Comedy, this ‘riveting’ one-woman play is about living with alopecia and fighting against beauty standards. Exploring desire, gender and body image, BASIC BALD B*TCH is for anyone who has felt afraid to be seen.
