HangParty

HangParty – Art Workshop

5 August-5 August

Get fully involved in the HangParty creative art workshop led by an art facilitator.

Description

HangParty arrives in Brixton, inspired by Hang Night’s™ salon-style evening of creative expression in Harlem. Designed to catalyse a diverse and inclusive creative community, HangParty is an annual showcase where artists of every genre at every stage of development are seen and heard.

Curated by Brixton House’s Front of House team, HangParty presents an eclectic mix of visual arts, an open mic for poetry, and vocal performers but may also include dance performers, musicians, or a mini-fashion presentation – you’ll have to come by to see!

Get fully involved in a creative art workshop led by artists who will guide you through the creative process and allow you room to express yourself whatever you produce. We will provide the resources, so all you need to bring is an open mind and a desire to create some artwork! No experience is necessary. Everyone is welcome.

Nicola Bellinfantie (Isoartee) is a Lambeth-based artist passionate about the way we impact the environment who explores ways in which we can co-exist in a more equitable and sustainable manner. Her engaging paper-crafting workshops exemplify this by demonstrating the use of household paper waste into artworks.

Sisters Three SW9 Ltd was formed by three local, St Lucian sisters determined to seek healthier body product alternatives to the mainstream options. They have now established themselves locally as one of the ‘go-to’ places for homemade soaps and bathing items.

Their enthusiastic  soap-making workshops are both educational as well as a lot of fun.
