It has been almost 80 years since the Empire Windrush arrived from the Caribbean to the Tilbury Docks in Essex, and we are marking the Windrush weekend with a range of activities at Brixton House.
We are looking for Black-owned businesses based in Lambeth and beyond to join us for Windrush weekend!
We will also be hosting workshops throughout the day facilitated by Cold Islanders, and a dominoes tournament facilitated by the Queer Dominoes Club. The day will be alive with steel pan performances hosted by the Metronomes and a market hosted by Black-owned businesses in our Foyer.

We are looking for sellers of:
- Original artwork
- Skincare
- Haircare
- Afro-Caribbean food delicacies (available for both takeaway and eat-in)
- Clothing for a range of sizes
Terms & conditions:
- Stalls will be set up in Brixton House Foyer from 11am-4pm, a representative must be present at the stall for the duration
- Owners must be present for registration at 10am to set up
- All businesses must have either a social media handle or website
- Owners must be of Black African or Caribbean descent & heritage
- We are interested in hearing from businesses based in the London Borough of Lambeth. However, this is not a necessity.
- Any food or beverage merchants must send over their food hygiene and allergen training certificates, as well as a full list of ingredients for products being served
- Food merchants should provide proof of Lambeth Council food registration. Deadline to send proof of certification to our team is 12pm, Friday 13 June
- No reselling products
- This is a one-time event and not recurring
