Carnival 60: Supermalt Sunday Comedy starring Slim

23 August-23 August

A night of entertainment featuring the best in African-Caribbean comedy.

Supermalt & Brixton House present

Description

Celebrate Carnival 60 as we bring the stage alive with spirit and vibrancy to honour Caribbean legacy, playing mas and sound system culture with a belly full of laughter.

Supermalt Sunday Comedy features a line-up of the UK’s most loved comedians, including Slim, a trailblazer of Black British comedy who made history as the first Black British comedian to perform at the world-famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles. You’ve seen him on BBC’s Live at the Apollo, and now you can catch him for a special show on his home ground of Brixton.

Joining him is Kyrah Gray, whose sharp, fearless comedy has taken her from Mo Gilligan’s Black British Takeover at The O2 to her own Comedy Central series, while her sketches and stand-up have attracted more than 20 million views on TikTok.

Completing the line-up is Diesel, whose warm, infectious style has seen him perform everywhere from comedy clubs across the UK to Eddie Kadi’s BBC Radio 1Xtra Comedy Gala at Hackney Empire.

Live at the Apollo star and Brixton House favourite Thanyia Moore returns to host. One of the UK’s most sought-after comedy hosts, she’ll be steering this special night of comedy.

Celebrate the milestone that is Carnival 60 with some of the very best Black comedy the UK has to offer.

Proudly sponsored by Supermalt. In association with Jump On Comedy.

On the line-up:

South London born and raised, Kyrah Gray began her comedy career in 2019 during her last year of University.
