The House Bar

The House Bar is the perfect place to meet and hangout - great vibes plus food and drinks from your favourite local producers.

Welcome to our House. Whether you’re joining us for a show, stopping by for a quick drink, or settling in for a long-overdue catch-up over food, we’re glad you’re here.

Brixton House is more than a theatre venue; it’s a space for creativity, expression, and belonging. Rooted in the heart of Brixton, we champion bold stories, cultural pride, and voices that deserve to be heard. The House Bar & Kitchen is an extension of that spirit: a vibrant, inclusive place where culture and community meet.

From your morning coffee and pastries, to Reggae Reggae-inspired chicken wings, to evening cocktails and pre-show drinks, we offer a carefully curated selection of food and beverages throughout the day and into the night.

Whether you’re here before a show, or simply to soak up the atmosphere, pull up a seat and experience something special. Celebrate, create, or unwind – this is your space to gather, discover, and be part of something bigger. Enjoy!

We believe in creating a welcoming, safe environment for all. That includes encouraging mindful drinking, with a range of low and no-alcohol options alongside our full bar selection. We also proudly partner with suppliers who reflect our values, supporting local and culturally resonant businesses wherever possible such as Kromanti Rum, Brother Joe’s, Brixton Brewery and Brixton Spirits.

Every purchase you make here has an impact. All profits from the bar support Brixton House’s charitable work, helping us continue to invest in artists, communities, and future creativity.

Look out for drinks marked “BH” as an additional £1 from each goes directly to our creative and civic work.

At Brixton House, we believe great stories don’t just live on our stages – they’re shared across tables, in conversation, and through food that brings people together. That’s why we’re proud to introduce a brand-new food partnership rooted right here in our community.

Bringing together two brilliant Brixton figures – entrepreneur and owner of The Joint, Karma Sherpa, and Brixton House Chair, Brixtonian, and creator of the iconic Reggae Reggae Sauce, Levi Roots – this collaboration is built on friendship, mutual respect, and a shared passion for flavour, culture, and community.

Curated by Levi and brought to life in the kitchen by Karma, this menu is a celebration of bold, culturally resonant tastes that reflect the richness and diversity of Brixton itself. Expect a vibrant mix of dishes – from comforting dumplings and loaded nachos to irresistible Reggae Reggae-inspired chicken wings – each one packed with flavour and made to be shared.

This partnership is about more than just great food. It’s about championing local talent, creating opportunities, and deepening the connection between Brixton House and the community we serve. Every bite tells a story – of heritage, collaboration, and the joy of coming together.
