UPRISING: Revolution School – Power in Practice Workshop

What does collective liberation look like in action?

Description

In collaboration with AWETHU School of Organising, Revolution School lead a powerful, youth-led workshop with a political education and community building organisation rooted in Black liberation and climate justice.

In this session, we’ll explore real tools for organising, resistance, healing and solidarity. From grassroots organising to self-determination, this is about more than learning history—it’s about living it. AWETHU will guide participants through exercises in political awareness, shared storytelling and community-rooted practice, drawing on revolutionary thinkers and frontline movements.

Learn how to organise, mobilise and transform your world, and connect Brixton’s past with today’s global movements.

This workshop is for anyone ready to question, imagine, and act—with others. Open to local Brixton residents. We encourage those from local Brixton estates Angell Town, Loughborough and Somerleyton/Moorlands to take part.
