Description
In this workshop, based on Yara’s practice writing political novels that incorporate her mothers’ experiences fighting Brazil’s military dictatorship, we’ll swap stories of political struggle from across generations and write them up as short stories, poems or monologues. Together, we’ll create a small archive of resistance and rebellion across places and times, and learn about each others’ experiences. Come to this workshop with your mum, daughter, father, auntie or friend – or come alone and we’ll pair you with someone of a different generation. We’ll end with a small sharing for all who’d like to.
